Illustration Board

Here is my first illustration board that I created using black ink and gouache. I combined surrealism with my original design, I took inspiration from looking at Manolo Blahnik's illustrations and Salvador Dali's art work. I really love surreal art as I think making something from parts of everything and combining them to create something so interesting is very effective. Surrealism is my favourite art movement so I wanted to make it a big part of my illustrations.

Here I added a clock face inspired by Salvador Dali's Melting Clock faces art work. I collaged eyes and lips from magazines to give the clock a face. I took this from the experimenting that I did earlier on where I collaged a different range of images from magazines to see what I could create.

Here I took more inspiration from Dali, however I changed around the idea of the melting clock face, I made my garment look asif it was melting. I over exagerrated the lapels of the tailored jacket and made them look like they were melting for effect. I designed the garment with impact in mind rather than the practicalities of it being wearable.
Here is my finished illustration.
