I think that the photo shoot worked well and I worked hard to try to re-create the image to the best that I could. I started off by planning out my shoot of how I would create the right look that I needed. I purchased a blue dress from the charity shop that I thought looked similar to the one in the painting. I took mock shots of the dress and I thought that it would work well, however when I finally came to shooting my images when the dress was put in the lighting it looked a lot darker than it did in the painting. This was a problem as the shade of the blue did not match however I felt it was the closest garment that I could find to match the painting. I then had to work on the hair and make up of the model. This was quite a simple look I curled the models hair and the clipped it up to make it look similar to the models hair in the portrait. I then did the models make up however the make up was the look quite subtle and natural. I only used a slight bit of foundation then I had to do the models cheeks and eye lids quite an orange shade with blusher.
Overall i generally think that the photoshoot went well and I was extremely pleased with the outcomes, although the dress wasnt exact I still thought that it was extremely similar to the painting and the look worked really well.
Here are the mock up shots that were taken when preparing for the shoot:
These were just quick snap shots of the garment that I was using to recreate the outfit.
These were quick snap shots of the model I used to recreate the painting, This was after styling her hair and make-up as similar as possible.
I will be posting my final images soon.
