Recreation

Recently in class we have been given set words and then we have had to style and create a photo shoot based upon our planning of the word. In our next we have been set a similar target however we had to use our research from our contextual studies unit and we have been set a task to recreate a famous painting based on the artist that we chose to research within our contextual studies. I had to pick and evaluate 3 paintings from artists of the decades I researched.
The first artist that i had picked was from the 60's, Andy Warhol who was made famous for his pop art and print screening. I thought that this picture would be interesting to recreate however I thought that it would be very difficult to do as Andy has used intense colour on her hair, lips and eyes. I thought that I would struggle when recreating this picture as the majority of it would have to be done on photo shop and I don't feel that my photo shop skills are very strong so I decided that it would be best if I did not go with this idea.

This was the second image that I selected and evaluated, I did like this image and thought that it would be interesting to recreate, however I could either end up with a good or bad outcome as it's not the most simplistic painting to recreate. The shoot has to consist from the waist and up and as this is a full body shot we decided that this might not work as effectively as a different painting would. I also thought that making the scenery before I began my shoot may be tricky to do therefore this painting may not be the best to recreate.

I finaly came to the conclusion that this painting may work the best and could possibly produce the best possible outcome. I thought that this painting was quite simple and the shot won't contain too many props. In this painting Salvador Dali has concerntrated a lot on where the light was in the room and added in shadow. When recreating my shoot I must look to see where the best lighting would be to help recreate shadows in the same places. I also need to find a blue dress and a white cloth as these are the main focuss of this picture as it's the only source of colour.
